MEET YOUR RANCHER
I’m Glen Courtright, and I live near South Charleston, Ohio, with my wife, Sarah Wildman Courtright. We’re proud parents of three adult children and grandparents to two wonderful grandchildren.
At Green Plains Ranch, we manage a diverse range of operations, including the Green Plains Cabin Bed and Breakfast, RV Camping, forage crop cultivation, timber management, and raising Criollo cattle.

At the heart of heart of what we do is finishing grass-fed Criollo cattle. Everything else - the land reclamation, hay / forage cultivation, silvo-pasturing -supports that mission.
As a military veteran, I served eight years as an enlisted airman in the U.S. Air Force and 13 years as an officer in the U.S. Naval Reserve. Outside of the ranch, I’m a lifelong musician, enjoying the trumpet and classical mandolin.
In 2016, I began reclaiming our property from decades of neglect, eliminating invasive plants, and rehabilitating abandoned quarry sites.
Today, Green Plains Ranch thrives through silvo-pasturing and interseeding practices, which enhance forage production and soil quality. Our Criollo cattle herds are managed with regenerative and rotational grazing, placing a strong emphasis on animal welfare, sustainable land stewardship, and delivering the highest quality products.
